Only days away from his battle against Matt Hughes, BJ Penn tells Joe Rogan that he will be coming in very underweight. Penn is now walking around at 165 lbs for the 170 lb division, gearing to fight a man that walks around 185 lbs. Penn may be looking at a 20 lb. difference against a top wrestler in MMA.

It seems that many of the cards are against the former two-division champ as he will be coming off two back-to-back losses to Frankie Edgar in the lightweight division. This will also be Penn’s first welterweight return since January 2009 in which he lost to the champ, Georges St-Pierre. Hughes on the other hand is coming off a three win-streak over Ricardo Almeida, Renzo Gracie, and Matt Serra. Here is the original interview with Joe Rogan around the seven minute mark.
