UFC’s 147 in (likely Sao Paulo) Brazil is shaping up quite nicely, as Fabricio Werdum (15-5-1) vs. Mike Russow (15-1-1) has been added to the card. The event is currently unofficial but has been targeted for June 16th, 2012. Headlining the card is expected to be Brazilian hero Anderson Silva vs. Chael P. Sonnen. Also, Brazilian superstar Vitor Belfort will take on fellow Brazilian and Pride legend Wanderlei Silva after coaching a season of TUF: Brazil.

After putting on a spectacular performance against Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson in his UFC debut at UFC 143, the UFC will test the Strikeforce import against one of their top heavyweight prospects in Mike Russow. Werdum is best known as the man to stop the domination of Fedor Emelianenko in the Strikeforce promotions in 2010.

Russow is no walk in the park as he has finished two of his four UFC opponents via strikes on his way to racking up 10 straight victories in MMA. Russow is best known for the shocking comeback KO finish of former UFC heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee after being beaten up for two and a half rounds.
