Duane Ludwig’s days as head coach of Team Alpha Male are complete, as the instructor finished up work recently at the California gym. Ludwig will be opening his own gym in his native home of Colorado, but plans to continue working with several members of the fight camp.

Ludwig will be cornering Chad Mendes for his featherweight title fight at UFC 176, and UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw has stated plans to remain in close contact with Ludwig as he defends his belt.

Dillashaw snapped a picture of the entire crew before “Bang” departed, and even Urijah Faber got in on the action. Faber has previously stated in interviews that he did not completely agree with Ludwig’s coaching. He will be cornered by new head coach Martin Kampmann next month against Alex Caceres at UFC 175.
