Fedor Emelianenko was originally supposed to be fighting in April, for Strikeforce’s return to the CBS network, by sources have since confirmed, this will no longer be the case.

According to a report from MMA Fighting, officials from M-1 stated today in a press conference, that Emelianenko will be fighting Fabricio Werdum, but not until May.

Strikeforce officials said that the April show, may move to Showtime, or just not even happen at all since Emelianenko will no longer be on the card.

“We’ve been putting most of our efforts into the fight tomorrow night,” Scott Coker of Strikeforce said of the Strikeforce Challengers card on Friday in San Jose. “But we’ll have some announcements next week, for sure. … We will be having a fight in Nashville on April 17, but the rest of the information we’ll be announcing next week.”
