Full disclosure: After making millions prognosticating on horse races and the stock market, I turned my attention to the sport of MMA, where my predictions are virtually infallible. Therefore, it is with the utmost confidence that I say that Luke Rockhold will defeat Michael Bisping at UFC Fight Night 55 on November 8.
Don’t get me wrong – Bisping is just about an elite-level fighter with a solid track record of only falling to the best and smashing all else. Here he is taking out a (probably) juiced up Cung Le…
…But Rockhold is no Le. The former Strikeforce champ tends to only lose to those who regularly imbibe the SuperSoldier Serum (i.e., Vitor Belfort), and he would have been fighting for a UFC belt long ago if not for the aforementioned Brazilian using and abusing synthetic testosterone like a villain in a Japanese Manga comic. Bisping, on the other hand, has never even gotten close to title contention, which is a testament to his ceiling in the sport and how he’ll never be capable of beating the best.
Barring any unforeseen injuries (including Bisping’s suspect eye just simply falling out), both fighters have years of solid fights left in them. But come November 8, when they clash in the cage, only one is emerging victorious. And his name ain’t Bisping.
