“The Dream” may not be healed from his war, but he’s ready to go again. Diego Sanchez has received the memo that a rematch against Gilbert Melendez is not happening. At least not any time soon. As Diego moves forward, he calls out an opponent that he’s been requesting for some time — Nate Diaz.

“I’m thinking maybe Nate Diaz for the next fight would be a epic five-rounder, said Diego Sanchez on Twitter (@DiegoSanchezUFC)”

As Diego has said in the past, he wants to be the first man to beat both Diaz brothers. It was back in Nov. 2005 when Diego would win the decision in the grappling war. Problem is that Nate Diaz already has an opponent in Gray Maynard on November 30 for The Ultimate Fighter 18 card. Of course that is not written in stone — Diego could always step in if the fans would rather see another “Mexican war” as he puts it.
