A pivotal featherweight match-up has been added to UFC 154. Darren Elkins is set to take on The Ultimate Fighter alum. Steven Siler. Both fighters will be looking to push their winning streaks to four in the octagon. With a win, either fighter should be able to call out the fellow top contender in the division. UFC 154 takes place at the Bell Centre Arena in Montreal on November 17th. The event is headlined by a title unification bout between long time reigning welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and current interim champion Carlos Condit.

Darren Elkins dropped to 145 after going 1-1 in the UFC’s lightweight division. Shedding those 15 pounds paid dividends as he has been able to piece together three straight victories over foreign phenoms. He ¬†beat Michihiro Omigawa, Ultimate Fighter winner Diego Brandao, and Chinese import Tiequan Zhang. Steven will be the first other American that Elkins faces at featherweight, but that will take place on foreign soil. So it will be a neutral battle fields in the UFC.

Siler’s biggest test to date had to come in the form of Cole Miller. Not only was he facing a proven veteran, he was also facing an upset brother. Siler had already taken out younger sibling Micah Miller prior to their match-up. Siler passed by Miller, and also has wins over Josh Clopton and Joey Gambino. He will look, just like Darren, to push his win streak to four, which passes up most of the featherweight division. The problem is that neither fighter has been truly engaging, having won most of their bouts at 145 by decision. With an impressive win here either could stake their claim.
