Even though Dana White is head of the world’s biggest MMA organization and is also most definitely is one of the most influential people of the sport, he didn’t make the list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

But this is all according to Time, which some would say is a slightly more “conservative” magazine and MMA doesn’t exactly fit that criteria. The magazine released the 2010 edition of the “Time 100,” a yearly poll which names the 100 most influential people in the world, and poor Dana ┬ájust didn’t cut it.

And oddly enough, even though White wasn’t selected to be shown on the list, he DID make number 16 out of the 200 finalists for the poll. He received 50,275 votes during the period, that recently ended.

White finished on the poll as one of the top persons in the sporting industry and was the only person in the MMA community to be represented in the list of finalists. He came ahead of Tiger Woods, Danica Patrick along many others.

And despite being snubbed from the magazine, I’m sure fans as well as many other prominent figures in the sporting world can respect what Dana White has done for MMA. We here at Caged Insider definitely do, keep up the hard work Mr. White!
