The taping for The Ultimate Fighter Season 13 is scheduled to start taping in a few weeks and UFC President Dana White admits he is still yet to make a final decision on who will lead the two teams this season, but does have candidates.
Though the names are only possibilities, he is considering letting the new beef between Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva stew on television. Silva had recently confronted Sonnen for comments made about Silva’s home country of Brazil. Sonnen would appreciate the job as he is currently on suspension for another three months before being eligible to fight after a failed PED’s test announced following his loss to current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
Another possibility said White is Miguel Torres vs Urijah Faber. With the merger of WEC into the UFC, the Zuffa organization would like to start getting the smaller weights familiar with their fan base and this would be a perfect opportunity. Torres is already scheduled to fight in February against Antonio Banuelos but could likely be pulled for the show.
Another mention by the zealous President is Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir III. The two are currently 1-1 and White had said he would like to do the rubber match soon but said he got so much negative feedback on twitter that he would reconsider.
Whoever the organization goes with it must be decided it the next few days as White admits it is of very high priority.
