Donald Cerrone is living up to his reputation.

UFC president Dana White tweeted Thursday that Cerrone just arrived in Baltimore – site of UFC 172 – and offered to replace Vagner Rocha and meet Joe Ellenberger on just days notice.

“Cowboy texts me sayn he landed in Baltimore, heard Ellenberger’s guy fell, wants the fight and will start cutn weight now,” White wrote. “Lol luve that kid.”

Cerrone (23-6) fought this past Saturday night, submitting Edson Barboza in the first round of their main card fight at UFC on FOX 11. He has won three straight and proclaimed after the victory that if anything happened to anyone on the UFC 172 card, he would be ready.

Cerrone has retweeted the message, but not made any further mention if he will step in and fight this weekend. The odds of him being able to do so are not good, as most athletic commissions force fighters to take at least seven days off between bouts.

Ellenberger, the brother of UFC welterweight Jake Ellenberger, was originally scheduled to meet Yancy Medeiros. However, an injury to Bobby Green forced the UFC to move Medeiros to the main card and meet Jim Miller. Rocha was brought in on short notice, but withdrew on Wednesday.
