Carlos Condit has said the he would definitely be interested in challenging UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, should he defeat Georges St-Pierre this Saturday night at UFC 154.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com, Condit also gave his thoughts on Montréal, how the people are treating him, how the loss of Greg Jackson might have affected him and how he relishes the role of the “spoiler”.
“I’m going to spoil the party. I’m going to mess up the plans. Whether they want to make the super-fight after I beat Georges, that’s up to them. I would like to fight Anderson. He is one of the best in the world, but there’s also a long line of welterweight contenders lined-up to fight me. “
Dana White has said that should Condit win, he won’t be facing Anderson in place of GSP, but rather taking on the next contender in the welterweight division which would likely be the winner of the Johny Hendricks/Martin Kampmann co-main event this weekend.
