“The Natural Born Killer” is the last man to face both champ Georges St-Pierre and number one contender Johny Hendricks. Going full rounds with both, the former interim-champ tells AXS TV’s Inside MMA that he sees the more polished fighter taking it.
“I’m going to have to go with Georges St. Pierre. Georges St. Pierre – he’s just a more polished fighter. Johny Hendricks, he’s dangerous and he’s got good skills be he is a little rough around the edges when it comes to his whole game, and Georges is just such a technician. He puts things together so well and is just a sharp, clean fighter and I think that’s going to make the difference in that match up.”
Condit has arguably come close to defeating both opponents, unfortunately for him they were not playing horseshoes. It should come at no surprise that Condit aims to take the belt from the long-running champ, instead of the up-and-comer. With both Hendricks and St-Pierre voicing an interest to put the match together sooner than later, we will likely see the two showdown this summer.
