Chael Sonnen, former UFC top middleweight contender and infamous trash-talker, has officially completed his six-month CSAC suspension and paid his $2,500 fine as well.

CSAC Executive Officer, George Dodd, confirmed to several sources earlier today that Sonnen has done everything needed under his penalty, effective yesterday. But, also according to Dodd, Sonnen is not quite ready to gain his fighting license back in the state.

“If Mr. Sonnen wants to be licensed here in California, he will have to appear before the commission to regain his license,” Dodd told MMA Fighting in an email. “Every other state will have to make a determination on their process for licensing Mr. Sonnen.”

Dodd also mentioned that the fighter has yet to set a date to meet with the commission.
