A marquee match-up in the heavyweight division has been laid waste due to another injury. Ben Rothwell has been pulled from his match with Travis Browne due to an ankle injury. Stepping in for Rothwell is one of the last Strikeforce Heavyweight transport in Devin Cole. He has a tall task, literally, when he takes on six foot seven Travis Browne. The bout takes place in a little less than two weeks at UFC on Fox 4 which is going to be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Travis Browne may be the next person to challenge for the title, because if he wins this fight he will be 5-0 in the octagon. He may have one draw to Cheick Kongo, but he has bounced back with some impressive wins. A knockout over Stefan Struve, and a two and a half minute submission victory of Chad Griggs anchor his resume. A win over Ben Rothwell would have done wonders for his career, but his opponents injury is something he cannot control. If he is able to move his streak up to five he will be in line for a fight with a top fighter in the division.

Devin Cole was unsure if he was ever going to be moved to the UFC, but luckily an injury has helped answer his questions. He now has a chance to make a huge impact in the division if he can get past Browne. Unfortunately, he has never been able to get past the top in the division, as his losses have come to Jeff Monson, Ben Rothwell, Rafael Cavalcante, Allen Goes, and Krzysztof Soszynski. It’s hard to say what will happen in this fight, but taking the bout on a few days notice, it looks like Cole is already behind. With the opponent change the match has been moved from the main card as well, and has been replaced with Mike Swick vs. DeMarques Johnson. So, an impressive finish is needed if it’s to fit into the live broadcast as a filler.
