Vitor Belfort doesn’t believe what others are saying.
Most feel Belfort will not be the same fighter who stopped Michael Bisping, Luke Rockhold and Dan Henderson without TRT when he steps inside the Octagon at UFC 184 to challenge Chris Weidman for the middleweight title.
He believes the year-off has allowed him to become an even better version of “The Phenom,” as he told SporTV.
“I’m stronger, lighter and faster,” he said. “For me, it was wonderful. It was better for me because I left a boring treatment that was bothering me.
“I took 2014 to improve some techniques. I know that is hard to believe, but I’m better now. I have been improving my skills, my kicks, my boxing, my endurance, my grappling, my strength and my footwork.”
Recently, Belfort passed both blood and urine tests given to him. He is expected to be tested before his February date with Weidman.
