The UFC brass have said they are working on the match up as both men have verbally agreed to the bout. All that’s needed now is an official date and venue. Dictating that date right now is the recovery process of Anthony Pettis as he comes off surgery of a long time (undisclosed) lingering injury. During a recent interview with UFC Tonight, Pettis admits that his availability¬† to fight should align with a November showing. As of now the UFC has announced two Nov. dates. Nov. 10 in Macau, China and Nov. 17 in Montreal, Quebec.

When asked on the trash talk and likely hood of the bout taking place, Pettis had this to say. “Oh, it is happening,” Pettis declared on UFC Tonight. “He is talking too much mess for it not to happen.Be ready. I am coming for that title. You’re the only guy standing in my way and I’m coming for it.”

Pettis has been out of action since Feb. when he finished Joe Lauzon with a first round headkick knockout.
