Even though Chael Sonnen claims he is still waiting on a contract to fight Anderson Silva, the UFC has meanwhile already booked a location in Brazil.

Dana White stated that one of the biggest UFC rematches in history, may also  be held at the biggest UFC venue in history.

“Think about this, the Chael Sonnen/Anderson Silva fight, I’m probably going to put my foot in my mouth again, and probably not supposed to be talking about this either, but I always do it so, this thing’s going to be in a soccer stadium in Rio,” White said.

“This thing’s going to have over 80,000 people are going to be at this event down there.”

White didn’t specify exactly what venue it would be, but most likely it will be held at the Estadio Olimpico Joao Havelange also know as Engenhao, which will also act as host to the 2016 Summer Olympics, and holds around 45,000 people.

The event is expected to take place on June 16th with Silva vs. Sonnen 2 as the headlining bout.
