–UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva, who is targeting a UFC 109 fight against Vitor Belfort on February 6, 2010, delivers some less than encouraging news regarding his recovery from elbow surgery.

Belfort expects to fight at UFC 109 on Feb. 6 in Las Vegas — though he’s not entirely convinced it will be against Silva, who already withdrew from UFC 108 as a result of the procedure. Will “The Phenom” get a crack at “The Spider” — or be forced to take another fight until the champ is 100-percent healthy?

“I went to the doctor who takes care of me in Brazil on Monday. I had my surgery in the United States but there’s a communication among both medical teams. To top it off, some movements didn’t reach the expected outcome. I’m going like crazy trying to come back, train hard and fight, but some moves still hurt so much. I just came from a jiu-jitsu training where I teach my students and could not even make some positions with them.”
