Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker tells MMAWeekly that the grudge match between Strikeforce welterweight champ, Nick Diaz and middleweight top contender Jason Mayhem Miller is currently in talks and may be ready for early next year.

Scott Coker:

“It’s something that we’re definitely looking at. You have to look at it from all different angles. Would it be a fun fight to promote? Sure. I think we should wait until the beginning of the year, and let’s have another conversation on that because with Miller and Diaz I just couldn’t imagine the extra security that I’d probably need to get to make that fight happen.”

The rivalry of these two stems from Strikeforce: Nashville in which Miller was jumped by the Gracie camp for interrupting Jake Shields victory speech over Dan Henderson. The first to throw a punch on Miller was Nick Diaz, and for that Miller would like to return the favor in the cage.
