Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker reports on Twitter that there has been ‘preliminary discussions’ about a possible fight between newly crowned light heavyweight champion, Dan Henderson and Fedor Emelianenko.

There have been “preliminary discussions only” for Hendo vs. Fedor. Wouldn’t be in June/July when Hendo wants to fight next said Coker.

Emelianenko has also been reportedly considering a drop to 205 and is interested in a fight against the champ, Henderson.

Henderson himself also spoke with MMAJunkie radio recently saying that he would be interested in a fight against Emelianenko as he still sees him as one of the best in the world. Henderson would even consider moving up in weight if needed.
