It appears that Strikeforce Women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey has never heard the adage “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” Granted, this time she’s talking about her opponent for this Saturday’s event- Sarah Kaufman, but one could say Rousey’s definitely veering into Chael Sonnen territory with this “speech.” Rousey is a smart chick though, and knows trashing your opponent will just hype the fight even more.

“If I get her in an armbar, I’m going to try to rip it off and throw it at her corner,” Rousey told “If I get her in a choke, I’m going to hold onto it until she’s actually dead. And if I get a knockout, I’m going to go all the way. I’m going to try to pound her face into the ground and she’s depending on the competence of the California (State) Athletic Commission to walk out of that cage alive.”

Sarah Kaufman was very mature about the whole situation, and obviously took everything Rousey said for what it was; pre fight badmouthing, and seems confident going into the event tomorrow night.

“I feel really confident going into this fight,” Kaufman said. “And I’m confident that Ronda’s going to bring it. She’s going to show up to fight. She’s going to try to kill me – which is kind of mean. But that’s all right. At the end of the day, someone’s going to walk out with the belt – and I want that person to be me.”
