According to his representative, Strikeforce welterweight champ Nick Diaz has officially admitted in writing to his involvement in the fight breaking out after April’s Strikeforce:Nashville event.

On Monday, Diaz sent the TAC (Tennessee Athletic Commission) a “consent order” which will start his three-month suspension from fighting professionally.

This means Diaz will not be licensed in time for the August 21st Strikeforce event  in which he was being considered for an eight-man welterweight tournament.

Diaz’s manager and trainer, Cesar Gracie also said yesterday that Diaz paid his fine along with the consent order, as part of the reduced punishment he received for his part in the fight.
