It looks like Ronda Rousey (4-0) will receive the title fight that she has been so vocal for against 135 lb. champion Miesha Tate (12-2) following two impressive first round finishes in Strikeforce promotions via armbar. Though the agreement is yet to be signed, sources at MMAWeekly.com have confirmed a March 3 event in Columbus, Ohio is in works and expected to be concrete shortly.
There has been no love loss in this battle of the beauties as the champion, Tate does not feel Rousey is deserving of a title shot after only four fights. Rousey however believes that the bout is a good chance to get more eyes on women’s MMA as two of the most beautiful ladies in the sport look to scrap.
The match stylistically is an interesting one as Miesha Tate has used her wrestling background to control the ground game of her opponents, carrying her on a current six-fight win-streak.
