MMA legend and guest commentator Frank Shamrock is reported to be making a big announcement at tonight’s Strikeforce: Fedor vs Werdum event in his hometown of San Jose. Here is what Strikeforce’s press release detailed.

“The Legend, MMA pioneer Frank Shamrock, will go into the cage Saturday night to make a very special announcement in front of his hometown fans at San Jose, California’s HP Pavilion, the birthplace of Strikeforce MMA. The special announcement, of course, will be part of the live telecast of the STRIKEFORCE and M-1 GLOBAL “Fedor vs. Werdum” mega-event on SHOWTIME┬« (live at 10 p.m. ET/PT) in what is expected to be a packed arena.”

What could this big announcement be about? One guess would be that he is officially going back into retirement, following a dominating loss to Nick Diaz in April last year. He could be finally accepting a bout against his brother Ken Shamrock after years of challenges in the press. Ken was seen recently in an interview at the UFC fan expo saying that his brother Frank was disrespectful to their adopted Father who had just passed, and would like to teach Frank about respect in the ring.

Stay tuned as we will be recapping Strikeforce: Fedor vs Werdum following the event tonight.
