It seems we may finally get to see The Last Emperor, Fedor Emelianenko return to MMA as it is being reported that he has agreed to a January 29th fight against Antonio ‘Big Foot’ Silva to take place in San Jose, California; at the HP Pavilion. This would be the Emelianenko’s first return since his loss in June to Fabricio Werdum.

Meanwhile the man they call Big Foot, will be coming off a KO win of Mike Kyle at the recent Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu card, and also a unanimous decision win over Andrei Arlovski back in May.

This will be Emelianenko’s final contract obligation with the organization and Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker has already hinted at a re-signing of the formerly undefeated heavyweight.

Also announced for the card will be Heisman Trophy winner, Herschel Walker. Also in the works is a Nick Diaz vs. Mayhem Miller bout, but it’s being reported by both sides that neither man wants to come out of their division.
