The hometown hero does it again. Daniel Cormier (11-0) continues to emerge victorious, as he racks up his 11th straight win in MMA with a victory over veteran Dion Staring (28-8) in Oklahoma City.

The fight was reminiscent of Cormier’s training partner Cain Velasquez’s recent victory over Junior dos Santos as it was all Daniel Cormier handing out the damage. After success standing, the Strikeforce champ used his Olympic level wrestling to take it down and ground-and-pound his way to victory in the second.

The former U.S. Olympian just continued to impress, staying undefeated, as he takes out the Blackzillian newcomer. As he makes the transition to the UFC, Cormier says that he will likely be making the drop to light heavyweight in order to avoid a match-up with friend and training partner Cain Velasquez. Before making the drop however, Cormier says he has some unfinished business at heavyweight. He has requested to take on his originally planned opponent, former champ Frank Mir.
