Dan Henderson (26-8) has returned to the winning column with a huge win over over the Brazilian, Renato Sobral (36-9) for the second time.

Round One:
The two veterans circle each other as the fight begins. Sobral attempts a clinch, but Henderson slips back. Henderson misses a superman punch and resets. Sobral backs him up with front-kick attempts. Henderson wings a right that doesn’t fully connects. Henderson wrestles his opponent to the mat, and then and drops a big shot. It looks like it may be over, but Sobral survives and defends. Strikeforce CEO, Scott Coker made it clear that the winner of this fight would be next in line for a title shot against the new Strikeforce lightweight champ, Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza. Prior to Henderson’s win against Sobral, Henderson entered Strikeforce with a loss to former middleweight champ, Jake Shields. A win that pushed Shields  to be signed by UFC. Henderson’s first win came back in February, 2000.
