Dan ‘Hendo’ Henderson(28-8) once again leaves the Strikeforce cage victorious for his third straight victory. Henderson uses his infamous heavy hands to slip in a uppercut from the back, after being rocked and dropped by Emelianenko. Consequently the victory also puts the former greatest pound for pound fighter Fedor Emelianenko (31-4-1) at his third straight loss.

Hendo, the current Strikeforce middleweight champion has now completed his obligated Strikeforce contract and is now a free agent. However Henderson says he would like to defend the Strikeforce belt.
As for Fedor Emelianenko, a third consecutive loss in the cage has caused the Russian to once again consider retirement saying ‘it’s in Gods hand’. A cut from the Strikeforce promotions is very likely now says many MMA analyst as the marketability of Emelianenko’s name may no longer be worth his hefty price tag. Either way, a nine year undefeated run in MMA is not a legacy to be forgotten.
