Following Yushin Okami’s unaninimous decision win over Nate Marquardt at UFC 123, Okami is now promised a title shot at the winner of Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort. If Silva can continue his streak and get past Belfort, it will give Silva a chance to avenge his last loss to Okami.

It was four years ago when Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami faced off at Rumble in the Rocks in Hawaii for a 175 lb. tourney. After Silva dominated most of the fight, Silva threw an illegal upkick knocking out Okami in the first and disqualifying Silva.

Much like the Jon Jones DQ against Matt Hamill for an illegal 12 o’clock elbow; though it was a loss, it did not seem to lower the fighters ranking. None the less, it is very likely a fight both men would want to rematch.
