Desmond Green enjoyed the biggest win of his career in his last appearance for Titan FC, knocking out former pound-for-pound entrant Miguel Torres in just 46 seconds back in October. The victory raised Green’s MMA record to 13-3, and even better, raised his profile among fight fans tuning in to CBS Sports Net.

Green returns to the promotion tomorrow night — and this time he’s going for gold.

The promotion’s inaugural featherweight championship will be decided as Green faces Steven Siler at the main event of Titan FC 32 in Lowell, MA, and the 24 year old Green says he’s just beginning to hit his stride.

The New Yorker Green, who enjoyed a decorated career as a collegiate wrestler, began training at a new facility earlier this year, and the man they call “The Predator” says the hard work is paying big dividends.

“I just recently moved up to Canada to train at Tristar to get that more professional training,” Green told MMA Weekly this week. “I’ve been working on my strikes and sparring a lot more. I started training at a smaller gym and didn’t have a lot of resources that I have now. I’m still learning how to throw proper punches, put together combos and getting my jiu-jitsu game together, but overall I’m learning so much. Every day I learn something new.”

Green was a Mid-American Conference champion in the 149 lb division, representing University of Buffalo.  But the new striking game was key against Torres — as a knee to the face, followed by a series of punches, earned the quick knockout.

Green is pictured above in his Bellator days back in May. The undercard is highlighted by Rick Hawn, a two-time Bellator tournament champion.

The broadcast begins 9 pm ET on CBS Sports Net.
