It has been a long hard road for Josh Barnett (24-5) to find a new home to compete. After Barnett  fell under extreme scrutiny for an alleged test positve for Steroid use (which he denies admittedly) right before getting a shot at the no. 1 Heavyweight contender Fedor Emelianenko. It seems he has gotten past the stigma seven months  later as he has just landed a contract with the Japan promotion, DREAM.

Barnett is rumored to be appearing as early as March 22nd. No opponents have been made official as matchmakers work with the Dream fighters to find a suitable match.

Barnett is best known for his wins over big names like Randy Counture, and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Before Barnett’s Steroid allegation, he was held by many as the no. 2 heavyweight contender in the world.
