Former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi (28-3-1) has found a new challenger in Jake O’Brien (17-3-0). The two have agreed to battle at Dream 15 on July 10th in Saitama Japan.

Prior to losing the belt to Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal in April, Mousasi was on a 15 win streak going back to 2006. His last win was against Gary Goodridge at K-1 Dynamite!!: “Power of Courage” on New Year’s Eve 2009.

Jake O’Brien’s only three losses were to Andrei Arlovski, Jon Jones and Cain Velasquez. After his loss to Jon Jones at UFC 100, O’Brien was cut from the organization. He currently holds a 2-0 since his cut.
