Now that World Series of Fighting 3 is in the books, and the buzz surrounding Josh Burkman’s choke-out win over Jon Fitch is subsiding, the promotion has confirmed multiple bouts for its upcoming August 10th card. WSOF 4 will be hosted by the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California.

Bouts that will be featured on the card’s NBC Sports Network broadcast include: renowned kickboxer Tyrone “King of the Ring” Spong (1-0) taking on light-heavyweight Angel “The Dream” DeAnda (11-2), the promotion’s President and K-1 vet Ray Sefo (2-1) versus hard hitting heavyweight Dave Huckaba (20-5), rising bantamweight Marlon Moraes (10-4)  fighting Brandon “Hot Rod” Hempleman (9-1), and former XFC lightweight champ“Notorious” Nick Newell (9-0) battling Keon “The Black Assassin” Caldwell (9-1).

Another of the televised fights will feature the promotional debut of UFC vet Tyson Griffin (16-6), who will throw down with former Strikeoforce and DREAM  lightweight J.Z. Cavalcante (17-7-1).  WSOF has also confirmed that welterweight Jorge Santiago (25-11) will meet fellow UFC vet Gerald “Hurricane” Harris (21-5) in preliminary card action.

So, while the event doesn’t have a main event featuring an established big name like previous WSOF events, Spong certainly has the potential to become a MMA star, and the card is pretty stacked  “top to bottom” as Sefo noted in the press release.

The August 10th, WSOF 4 broadcast will begin on the NBC Sports Network beginning at 10:30 p.m. EST/7:30 p.m. PST.
