The MMA world doesn’t yet know when Conor McGregor will fight again, but the Irish fighter’s reporting that his relationship with UFC officials is in a better place, following a recent meeting.

McGregor reportedly met with UFC President Dana White and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta in Los Angeles on Wednesday, to discuss everything that’s gone down between the parties in recent weeks. As you know, McGregor’s rematch with Nate Diaz was axed from UFC 200, when the featherweight champ wouldn’t commit to all the planned media obligations.

Although since then, White has repeatedly said that he’s on good terms with McGregor,┬áthere’s been plenty of┬áspeculation as to whether that’s true. Then of course, there’s been all the wild rumors about Floyd Mayweather boxing McGregor, and the latter has done his part to churn that rumor mill.

Well, recently McGregor sat down with ESPN’s Kenny Mayne. The entire interview will air on Sunday, but in a preview the outlet posted, McGregor had this to say about his meeting with White and Fertitta (quote via MMA

“Good conversation like it always is,” McGregor said. “We have a good relationship. It is what it is. It happens. This is the fight game. Sometimes emotions get into it. But it’s important to recognize that emotions have no place in business. That’s essentially what it was last night. We just set it aside. There’s no place for emotions in this. We are doing beautiful things. So let’s continue. Let’s fix it and let’s continue.”

Mayne also asked McGregor where his relationship with the UFC is, if it were placed on a football field. THe Irish star said “in the middle”, and in a “good place”….So, really, it kind of sounds like McGregor’s next fight may not be determined for a little while yet?
