What happens when you take an older, accomplished pro wrestler, give him a modicum of MMA training, and throw him into the Octagon?
CM Punk is what happens, which is to say, said pro wrestler gets his butt kicked.
That’s what happened at UFC 203 back in 2016, and it came at the hands of a nobody in Mickey Gall. You see, the UFC wanted to hand-pick Punk’s opponent and make the threat as low as possible, and still Punk got smoked…
Anyway, we’ve all been waiting patiently for Punk to return. And as per his tweet this morning, our wait will be over on June 9, which is the date for UFC 225 in Chicago, IL.
There’s no official announcement, nor any notion of who his opponent might be. But hey, CM Punk, y’all. He ain’t done yet.
So when are we gonna see you cry again in the Octagon? 😂 @CMPunk
