There are universally accepted truths in the MMA world:

The UFC is the top MMA organization in the world.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu is at the foundation of MMA.

Everything Genki Sudo does is awesome.

So, instead of focusing on the UFC — plenty of time for that, after a surprisingly enjoyable UFC 177 experience yesterday — let’s focus on someone awesome who did something awesome in the realm of Brazilian jiu-jitsu recently.

Last Sunday, Genki Sudo launched a jiu-jitsu tournament named Ikkiuchi, at the Zenjyuji Temple in Japan. A video was released yesterday, where the “Neo Samurai” presented some great grappling action, framed by traditional Japanese motifs.

Like all things Genki Sudo, it is awesome.
