Canadian Chad Laprise has had some success in the Octagon and some failures, but lately he’s been beating opponents senseless, which is always a good thing for a career. TUF 21 washout Vicente Luque has been having some success as well, and although he’s got some holes in his armor, he’s proven to be good in a scrap.

These cats are kicking off the UFC Fight Night 129 main card, folks.

The bout commences with Laprise and Luque staking out real estate just at the edge of striking range, and firing off kicks and punches. Laprise adds a takedown attempt into the mix, most likely to break up his opponent’s rhythm more than anything, but Luque remains calm and patient, gauging the best moment to land a counter… and land he does! With Laprise stepping in, Luque catches him with a short left hook, and down the Canadian goes.
