Rashad Evans was the champ once upon a time, but has lost his last four fights because he’s old and should’ve retired like any sane person would have done. But hey, everyone needs a paycheck, so here we are.
Anthony Smith has fought pretty much everywhere – the UFC, Strikeforce, Bellator, the UFC again – and has a knockout over Hector Lombard as his most notable recent win.
The bout begins with Smith kicking Evans leg, and Evans seeking that clinch like his life depends on it. But when he gets it and presses Smith against the cage, Smith simply pushes the former light-heavyweight champ’s head down and cracks him in the dome with a knee. Evans drops, and that’s it.

Tough watching a former champion fight on early prelims and get badly KO’d. You finish your career making highlight reels or featuring on someone else’s if you hang around too long. Tough tough sport. #UFC225
