Yet again, the match-up between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov is off.
Replacing Ferguson in the main event of UFC 223 will be featherweight champ Max Holloway. The winner of the Holloway versus Nurmagomedov bout will be the undisputed lightweight king.
I wish this were an April Fools joke, but it’s not. Apparently, Ferguson injured his knee in training. Also apparent is that Conor McGregor will finally be stripped of his title…
…And you can bet that if Holloway becomes the two-division featherweight/lightweight champ, a rematch with McGregor will soon follow.

I’m told Holloway is still in Hawaii, UFC making flight arrangements being made now. Khabib already in Brooklyn, as he was scheduled for a media day. Ferguson injury happened last Thursday, MRI this weekend showed torn knee. Heartbreaking.
