Welcome to CagedInsider’s coverage of UFC Fight Night 132, which is headlined by Donald Cerrone and Leon Edwards, and comes to us from Singapore. Since this is a Fight Pass event, the broadcast started at 4:30am EST, but y’all crazy if you think I’m waking up that early.

Instead, I’m up at 7am to watch grizzled Brazilian Muay Thai specialist Felipe Arantes scrap with local slugger Song Yadong.

The older a Muay Thai gets, the more he tends to cover up when the strikes are incoming and wait for the storm to pass. That’s Arantes, who somehow manages to stalk his foe around the cage yet stand there and eat punches whenever he gets too close. He’s caught off balance and winds up on his back in the first, and Yadong proceeds to pound on him like he’s a chicken cutlet.

For some odd reason Arantes wants to go for takedowns in the second, and that ends with him again on his back, absorbing punches. Then they’re on their feet and against the cage in the waning seconds of the round, and Yadong just says, “screw it,” and nails Arantes with an elbow that drops him.

Results: Song Yadong def. Felipe Arantes via KO (Elbow) at 4:59, R2
