The sometimes douchey Mickey Gall gained notoriety when he tapped out CM Punk, and he built upon the smoldering embers of that modicum of fame by then tapping out Sage Northcutt. But when faced with a seasoned veteran of the regional scene, Gall was handled like a rookie.
Well, at UFC Fight Night 135, Gall got another season vet in George Sullivan, and this time around Gall ate him for dinner.
Sullivan never really found traction in the Octagon, but he’s been in the game a long time, and was a stud in the Northeast circuit for a spell. So for Gall to do what he did – nail the takedown, take his back, and tap him out with a choke in just over a minute – that shows that the young kid actually does have skills.

Of course, postfight, Gall went for the low-hanging fruit and called out Northcutt for a rematch (keep in mind, Gall took his lunch money the first time around), so the kid is a work in progress.
Result: Mickey Gall def. George Sullivan via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) at 1:09, R1
