When Felice Herrig first came to the UFC, she was nothing more than a NSFW Instagram account. But damn has she turned her career around and evolved. She’s now riding a four-fight win streak, and if she gets past her opponent tonight – Karolina Kowalkiewicz – you have to think a strawweight title is close.

Kowalkiewicz, however, is 115 pounds of pure badass, and though she lost to Joanna Jedrzejczyk in her initial run at the belt, she’s hovering around “top contender” status and could soon fight for it again.

Once the fight gets underway, one thing is clear: Kowalkiewicz has all the confidence in the world, and her striking arsenal is deep and deadly. Herrig is constantly absorbing punishment – via kicks and punches on the outside, and via knees and elbows in close.

Herrig keeps winging that left and that cross though, and when they land, they knock the Polish fighter’s head back.

Kowalkiewicz spices things up by going for a rolling kneebar (!), slapping a triangle on Herrig and sweeping her into mount, and Herrig rocks Kowalkiewicz with a punch near the end of the third round, but ultimately, this game of points is won by the Polish fighter.

Result: Karolina Kowalkiewicz def. Felice Herrig via Split Decision
