Jon Jones, the greatest light-heavyweight to ever snort rails of blow and wreck his car, may not be in possession of the UFC belt right now, but according to him, he doesn’t need it to be champ.
Thanks brother, yeah I know I don’t need to hold that belt to be the champion. Sure the whole top five knows that too https://t.co/6UfzdcX0Nr

Which is exactly the type of delusional thing someone on drugs would say when they fondly reminisce about the times they had and things they accomplished when they weren’t on drugs.
Look, Jones beat everyone he ever faced convincingly. If not for failed USADA drug tests and mysterious steroids found in his system, he’d still be champ, and everyone – including current champ Daniel Cormier – would be gunning for him.
Now they’re all sitting on the UFC tour bus, waving at the suspended fighter standing on the sidewalk as the bus rolls by en route to the next big show.
Stay in school, kids.
