The sport has had more than its fair share of tragedy, but MMA is really cornering the market on sheer lunacy thanks to the ongoing efforts of UFC vet Jason “Mayhem” Miller.

Here’s what he’s been up to lately:

Mixed Martial Arts fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller was arrested early Friday morning for allegedly assaulting an officer, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Miller was arrested after deputies were called to a residence in the 26000 block of Avenida Calidad in Mission Viejo about an alleged altercation involving Miller and a woman, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities said Miller was jailed for alleged assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer.

Last year, Miller was involved in a three-hour SWAT standoff at his Mission Viejo home before police took him into custody.

We are literally watching a former fighter’s slow burn through the atmosphere of insanity, and it’s just a matter of time before he’s riddled by police officer bullets.

Also, his hairstyle is reminiscent of the character “Strong Guy” from Marvel Comics. That’s never a good sign.
