An ion is an atom or molecule with either a positive or negative charge, so when Ion Cutelaba fights, you just have to accept that a science-based joke or two is coming your way. And guess what? Cutelaba fights tonight at UFC on FOX 30, taking on Gadzhimurad Antigulov, a Dagestani wrestler. So positive charges, y’all. Positive charges.
Antigulov immediately hunts for, and gets, the takedown, and he settles into Cutelaba’s guard, not doing much by way of ground and pound while trying to keep his foe on the canvas.
He can’t keep Cutelaba on the canvas, though, and when they engage on the feet, Cutelaba just unloads with knees, elbows and punches. Antigulov is too tired from wrestling to do a damn thing, and after eating about a thousand hit points worth of damage, he’s saved by the referee jumping in.
