Greetings from CagedInsider headquarters, a fortified underground bunker nine feet under the ground in a remote suburb of Timbuktu. Today’s offering from the number one MMA promotion in the world is UFC Fight Night 130, which comes to us from Liverpool, England, and features in its main event the city’s favorite son, Darren Till.

First up on the FOX Sports 1 prelims: Molly McCann versus Gillian Robertson. McCann is a Liverpool native herself, and has experience in UK regional promotion Cage Warriors. Robertson is Canadian, reps American Top Team, and won her UFC debut back in December via submission. McMann failed to make the flyweight cutoff of 125 pounds – is there an all-you-can-eat buffet in Liverpool that these fighters just can’t resist?

Round 1 opens with McCann trying to sling leather and Robertson eating a couple punches before taking the Brit down. For the rest of the frame it’s all about survival, with McCann swimming in an ocean of hurt and Robertson battering her from above like she’s tenderizing a veal cutlet.

Obviously, McCann needs to avoid going to the ground, or at least get back up really quick if she does go down – which is exactly what she does when her opponent takes her down in the second. But Robertson keeps up the pressure and they inevitably go to the canvas. In no time, Robertson has McCann’s back and is sinking in the choke. McCann doesn’t tap, and instead goes to sleep.

So much for the hometown girl getting the win.
