Just over a decade ago, boxers would’ve had nothing but venom for MMA – and why not? The sport as they knew it consisted of giant sumo wrestlers getting pummeled by smaller karate men, and teeth and blood flew about willy-nilly. But cagefighting has evolved dramatically over the years, and that evolution has swayed the opinion of many a pugilist. On last week’s “Inside MMA”, hosts Bas Rutten and Kenny Rice had legendary boxer Ray Mancini on as a guest, and “Boom Boom” revealed himself to be a member of the camp that actually thinks highly of the sport we know and love.
