Donald Cerrone has been fighting a long, long time, and has made a ton of fans along the way because of his aggressive, take-no-prisoners style. Sadly, all those fans must now watch as their hero ages out of being effective in the Octagon while being fed to younger guys.

One such younger guy is Brit Leon Edwards, who’s done well in the UFC’s UK circuit, and will likely make the jump to pay-per-view on the back of someone like “Cowboy”. This is our UFC Fight Night 132 main event.

I want to say Cerrone revealed flashes of his old self, but that wouldn’t be true. He was too small against Edward’s larger frame, and his speed – which made him dangerous in the past – has left him. So we got to see Cowboy bloodied in the first, and throughout the bout, Cerrone was getting out-struck at distance with Edward’s body-kicks, and out-struck in close with Edward’s elbows and knees.

Cerrone scored a takedown in Rounds 4 and 5, but he was otherwise stymied, and when time ran out there was no mystery as to who won.
