There must be something in the air at UFC 228 tonight. First, the saltiest veteran of them all, Jim Miller, earned a win in his 30th Octagon appearance. Then Diego Sanchez – who won TUF 1 about a hundred years ago – pounded in his way to victory, too.
Lanky Brit Craig White was the opponent, and it didn’t take long for Sanchez to change levels, hoist him up and slam him down. In fact, it didn’t take long for Sanchez to do that in all three rounds.

To his credit, White dealt with a helluva lot of ground and pound, and even landed a few solid up-kicks in Round 2. But man oh man, Sanchez pounded on him relentlessly. When time ran out, there was no question the old timer in desperate need of a “W” had earned it.
