David Branch did well in his run in the World Series of Fighting, but come on, it was the WSOF – how good could someone be there?

Thiago Santos is a Brazilian striker who’s been knocking ’em dead lately. Given Branch’s propensity for being good and methodical at striking but not great, this could be a tough one for the American.

As expected, Santos is all confidence and leg-kicks, and he’s taking big chunks out of Branch’s calf while the jiu-jitsu black belt tries to throw them hands.

And then Branch steps in with an overhand right that catches Santos square on the chin, and Santos is out cold.

Well, that was surprising.
